On a lazy Sunday afternoon, instead of cooking the regular chicken curry...I
decided to give a little twist to the recipe. This dish is tasty, it's spicy
and .... it's EASY!
Ingredients:
Chicken- 1/2 kg
Yogurt- 1 cup
Red chilli powder- 2 teaspoon
Coriander powder- 1 teaspoon
Turmeric powde- 1/4 teaspoon
Salt- as needed
Garam masala powder- 1 teaspoon
Cinnamon Stick- 3
Black Pepper- 1 teaspoon
Cardamom brown- 2
Cardamom green- 5
Cloves- 4
Onion- 4
Ginger- 1 inch pieces
Garlic- 5 cloves
Tomato- 2
Sugar- 1 teaspoon
Method:
1. Marinate chicken with the yoghurt, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, salt, garam masala powder and coriander powder. Refrigerate the chicken for 3 hours. Heat the oil in a pan and fry chicken for about 8 minutes and keep aside.
2. Grind ginger, garlic, onion, tomato, pepper, cardamom brown and green, cinnamon stick and cloves together.
3. Heat the oil in pan and add grind spices, red chilli powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder and salt. Cook on medium heat for about 5 minutes.
4.Now add yoghurt and cook for 3 minutes. Then add the fried chicken and mix well. Add a cup of water and one teaspoon sugar. Cook on high for 5 minutes.
5. Dahi Masala Murg is ready! Serve it with Basmati rice or hot chapatis.
Do try it and let me know your views in the comment's section. :)
